I know that 285s are a bit big for the rim but the truck looks as it should have come with them on. The ties rub on the upper control arm only at full crank, so I am rubbing the white wall off.
WebDec 16, 2024 · The upper bolt is the upper ball joint and is just above the tire. The whole suspension moves up and down with the tire so that clearance doesn't change. The inside tire wall sits pretty close to the upright attached to the steering knuckle. Ideally, you would want to find a happy medium; enough offset or spacer to just barely clear the upper control arm.
